Artist Statement
I make choreoplays. I use dance as a means to explore other artistic mediums and convey ideas that are not specific to dance. Though my choreography is heavily influenced by traditional Chinese dance, I strive for a seamless integration of the traditional into the realm of the contemporary. Through collaboration with artists in other mediums and integrating projected media into choreography, I infuse abstract movement with meaning. I am interested in creating technologically-augmented dance-theater.
