I was just awarded a 2011 Young Artist Grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities! I will be using the grant to create a public performance series this coming spring - one performance in 5 different wards in DC. Follow me on twitter to receive information on the upcoming performances!

I've been rehearsing with Contradiction Dance for a couple of weeks now, creating a new work to be presented November 19 and 20 at the Round House Theatre Silver Spring. We will also be performing October 22 in Baltimore, MD for "Late Night at the Patterson" a program of the Creative Alliance at the Patterson. It's an incredible rehearsal process and I'm learning so so much from the Artistic Director, Kelly Mayfield. Welcome to the new site redesign! Not only does the site feature a whole new look, but checked out my fully revamped portfolio that includes:
- The video and program for (In)decision from the June 13, 2010 performance on Governor's Island as a part of the FIGMENT Festival.
- The video for The Garden for Wayward Girls work-in-progress showing on March 31, 2010 at the Firkin Crane in Cork, Ireland.
- An oldie-but-goodie, the video and program of Glimpses, my senior thesis at Oberlin College, performed May 10, 2010.
- The write-up of a new piece that I've just started working on, more details to come.

Micheline Heal was selected to participate in 60x60 Dance's presentation at the New York Dance Parade on May 22, 2010. Her most recent work, (In)Decision has been selected to be performed at the FIGMENT Festival on Governor's Island June 12 & 13, 2010.
